Let your vision be world embracing… — Bahá’u’lláh
We believe that throughout history, God has sent humanity divine teachers, or Messengers of God. Their teachings lay the foundation for advancing civilization at that given time. Some examples of these Messengers include Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad. Bahá’u’lláh is the latest of these Messengers. These special Messengers can be viewed as teachers in a school. They all have access to the same sacred source, but they teach the relevant lessons for their era. Today, the primary goal in advancing civilization is the establishment of unity, justice and equity throughout the world. If you’d like to learn more about the Baha’i Faith, please visit Bahai website.

Although the nine-pointed star is not the official symbol of the Baha’i Faith, it has been informally adopted for a few reasons. There is an Arabic system that assigns numerical values to letters. The word “Baha”, which means “Glory” in Arabic, adds up to nine. Nine is also the highest single digit number, so it symbolizes cohesion, perfection and unity.

The Greatest Name is a special calligraphic drawing of the phrase Ya Baha’u’l Abha, which is Arabic for O Glory of the All-Glorious. This calligraphy was originally drawn by an early Baha’i calligrapher.

The Baha’i Ringstone Symbol expresses the relationship between God, His Manifestations, and Humankind. The top bar represents the spiritual realm; the bottom bar that mirrors it signifies the material world; and the line between them symbolizes the Manifestation of God. The vertical line that connects all three planes of existence exemplifies the Holy Spirit of God. The two stars in the Ringstone symbol stand for The Bab (who prepared the way for Baha’u’llah) and Baha’u’llah. This symbol reminds Baha’is that we are connected to God through the Holy Spirit and the Manifestations of God.
